Hi, my name is Tina, I’m a clinical nutritionist, specialising in digestive health, weight management and disordered eating. I focus on helping people overcome chronic digestive issues such as IBS, SIBO and food intolerances. I am a big believer that your health starts in your gut and as the latest research shows, it’s your gut microbiome that plays a major part in health and disease. Not only that, it’s your microbiome that determines how you’re going to store weight and how quickly you’re going to recover from illness.

In my consultations I help clients identify the causes of their health issues which often include bloating, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea or gut pathogens. I use functional testing to get to the bottom of digestive issues and offer not only dietary advice but also suggest lifestyle changes which help make the “new way of eating’ sustainable.

I practice a non-dietary approach and believe that fad diets are the cause of not only many digestive issues but also disordered eating behaviours, anxiety and many mental health problems. I have seen in practice that sustainable approach to eating and focus on whole foods, including all micro and macro nutrients that your body needs for its optimal function are the keys to optimal health. My job is to empower people to make healthy food choices that will not only serve their bodies but will also not preoccupy their minds and lead to any food related anxiety.

In my consultations I take an individualised approach, delivering personal treatment plans based on latest nutritional science and if needed results of functional testing.

After graduating as Bachelor of Heath Science in Nutritional Medicine I have been undertaking regular specialised training in areas covering nutrition and psychology. I am a member of Australian Natural Therapists Association as well as Australian Centre for Eating Disorders accredited practitioner. I have also been trained in Motivational Interviewing, aimed to help clients better understand the strategies they can employ to achieve and sustain positive changes.

I love nutrition and feel passionate about helping people achieve positive changes not only with their digestive system issues but also with their relationship with food and eating.
